Success, tragedy and desire beset an award-winning, bi-racial musician with two loves Music and beautiful women. Growing up in Los Angeles in the 1980s, he is doted upon by his Black mother and Asian father and experiences growing pains, first love and a deep passion for music. But trouble is hiding around the corner as his obsessive desire to produce the perfect song gradually causes his empire to crumble. The rappers have allowed fame to go to their heads and are turning rogue; the members of the female garage band he has recruited and groomed are fighting among themselves; and his link to a decades-old murder has placed him as an unsuspecting target.
In the midst of his attempt to avert yet another disastrous mishap he realizes that his greatest love far surpasses the other. But has his epiphany come too late?

I've enjoyed all three books of this trilogy. Great job Ms. Gant. Read all three books. Waiting for more books.
Exceptional from the beginning. Hard to put down because you can't wait to see the outcome! Well worth the read.
This writer will keep you on the edge of your seat. She is so descriptive you feel you are there. Delightful,joyful and so very awesome.
Jason's journey teaches the reader about life's ups and downs and unexpected turns that can make or break you if you let them.
I really enjoyed this book. Couldn't put it down. Just goes to show you life doesn't let us get away with the self-serving thing we do to heart others.
I love the way the writer let the story flow and intertwine of the other two books. I only hate the book ended and now I must wait for the next one!
I thought this book was a decent read but nowhere near as good as her other two books. It was no page turner. At times the story lines were all over the place and the ending seemed rushed. The author's previous works, in my opinion, were much better but I would definitely read her next book.
